Procedures for Addressing Concerns
Positive relations between the School and its parents and families are a primary concern. For that reason, every effort will be made to handle disputes in the most positive way possible. These procedures are designed to facilitate fair and transparent resolution processes for all parties involved. The following steps have been outlined in order to facilitate resolution of such issues:
Step 1
Make an appointment to clarify issue with your student¹s teacher.
Step 2
Make appointment to clarify issue with the school administrator/leader.
Step 3
Discuss concerns with School Principal / Parent Involvement Representative – Noelle Iglesias (niglesias@virtualcharteracademy.org)
Step 4
If the person named is not able to assist with dispute resolution or you have already discussed your concerns with them, please contact Academica.

Step 5
Discuss Concerns with the Governing Board’s Grievance Committee (committee members (shall be established by the Board Chair and shall include a minimum of 3 people which must include one member of the Board, two peer Principals and others (as necessary). Please contact Kelly Mallon (Board Liaison) at kmallon@academica.org to request this option.
